THE PLAY DATE CAFE CHALLENGE #142

Happy Monday! The fun of blogging is being able to see so many different pages, challenges, and some awesome paper crafting & art work. Its so inspiring! I am not sure how I ended up at The Plate Date Cafe, but I am glad I did. For Challenge #142 we were asked to use the 3 colors above. This challenge caught my eye for so many reasons. I really tried to use the pics as an inspiration as well. I incorporated the flowers, the circles, the multi colored lines, and as many of the colors as possible!

I have been doing some cleaning in my craft room and found some cute paper and embellishments that I have been holding on to for way too long! (I think we all know that crafters are closet hoarders) ;) Or maybe I am speaking for myself! LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Off to watch the Olympics!

EAD DESIGNS JULY COLOR CHALLENGE

OH MY....Its been so long since I have done a challenge. Feels good! I love EAD Designs !!!! Their products rock! For challenge 26 we had to use the colors blue, red, and orange. Kind of a 4th of July theme with a little orange thrown in there! I busted out my new Cosmo Cricket paper packs that I got at the store Tuesday Morning. Who knew they had craft stuff there! I got lucky. Of course I couldn't leave there with just one paper pack! wink wink! I snagged the cheers image and red polka dots from the "Social Club" paper pack. I couldn't do an EAD challenge with out adding an EAD rub-on. The congrats is one of many words on the Sentiments rub-ons. I really enjoyed using this color combo. I think it turned out pretty good! Anyways, thanks for stopping by and checking out my page.  I am off to create! :)

I am back!

Hello Everyone!!!! I has been so long since I have posted on my blog. Has it been years???...oh my! I remember when there wasnt a day that went by that I didnt have something to say or show off...gone are those days! I think I had way too much time on my hands at my old job! So now that I actually work at work (what a concept), I seem to have less and less time to post. I need to get back at it. It was so fun always doing challenges and pushing myself outside of my little Tim Holtz box! I finally have my own craft room (well half of the room anyways!). I will post some pics after I am completely finished. I feel like I have so much space and this should encourage me to get by booty going and put all my horded supplies to good use. I have also started my own Etsy site which I have sold a total of 2 things (better than nothing-though one sale was to my sister). Its a lot of work keeping up on it...as you can tell when you visit my site...there is nothing on there since all the posts expired! Anyway, the card above was for a worker's mom. She said her mom liked pale pink and scrabble. I always get nervous when someone orders a customized card. Is it going to be what they were looking for??? I think I pulled it off...she liked it! Well that is all for today. I think I have said enough. If you are the one person reading this...thanks! Have a wonderful July 4th week everyone!

Obsessed with Vintage

My good friend Tammy and I couldn't pass up a trip to Green Tangerines with our %25 off coupons! I was able to spend under $20, that was an accomplishment! I found lots of beautiful, colorful vintage paper that I had to get. Tammy surprised me with this awesome stamp set, which included the butterfly above! I couldn't wait to use it! I cleaned up my craft area and was ready to get back to being creative!

Torendi Blog Hop Challenge

Torendi had an awesome blog hop the other day, along with a fun little challenge. The idea was to take a project from the blog hop and become inspired and make your own project. I chose Jenn's project from Double N Designs. Her projects are always so fun! You may think, where did I get my inspiration...well, I had these Christmas sticker tags from EAD Designs, and I thought, I must use them up before the season is over! I cut the tops off the tags, and attached them to the some craft paper. I really like the way that Jenn incorporated patterned washi tape with the solid red color and the snowflakes. So, I busted out my new tissue tape from Tim Holtz and managed to find a snowflake brad to add! You should head over to the Torendi blog hop to see what you can create from all the great ideas!

Torendi Second Tuesday Blog Hop

I hope that you are loving the blog hop so far! Thanks for stopping by! You should have made your way here from Jenn's fantabulous blog. If not, please make sure to go back to beginning and start with the Torendi blog! Now on to the fun stuff....:) I can't seem to get enough of the products at Torendi. They are unique and so much fun to use. For this holiday card I used the Washi Tape and the Sasafrass Alphas. The Washi Tape has become one of my staples and it is super easy to use!!! They both come in a variety of different colors and would be prefect for any project!!!

Up next in the blog hop is Tiff, make sure to check out and see what she has up her sleeve!

If you love what you see on today's blog hop, and feel inspired to create your own NEW project, post it on your blog and let people know about the Torendi challenge! Check out the Torendi blog for more info! You could be a winner!

Happy Holidays! :)

Wee Memories Challenge #31 Card #2

This is my second entry for Wee Memories Challenge #31. What a fun challenge!

Wee Memories Challenge #31

Its been so long since I have crafted. Working long hours, getting a new job, working two jobs, and now finally things have calmed down. I start my new job, full time, on Monday. I had to celebrate with a trip to the craft store and finally found the Garden Variety/Material Girl Paper Pack. I had nothing planned today, but card making and yoga! Pretty nice plans for this beautiful Saturday! I adore this paper, and I figured that Wee Memories Challenge #31 would be the perfect start to getting back to crafting! The challenge was to use patterned paper, and I had a lot of fun with these two cards. Head over to Wee Memories and challenge yourself!
